Tanner Carrick 13th During First Visit to Petaluma Speedway -

Making his first start at Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night during the 6th Annual Adobe Cup, Tanner Carrick would start his night of well in time trials, race his way into the feature, and take the checkered flag with a 13th place finish.

“For my first time at Petaluma, I was pretty happy with how it went,” Tanner Carrick said. “We had good speed all night, and came away with a 13th place finish.”

With 30-cars checked into the pit area for the event, Carrick would get his night off to a great start as he timed the CVC/Cemex/Interstate Oil backed No. 83T machine in fourth quickest in qualifying time trials.

Four cars were locked into the event through events earlier in the season, so on this night only heat race winners would earn a spot in the Dash. Lining up in the second row of his heat race, the Lincoln, CA driver would pick up a spot and finish third which locked him into the 30-lap Adobe Cup feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 12th starting position, Carrick would spend much of the night battling with Petaluma regulars Colby Johnson and Jake Haulot as he raced on the hooked up racing surface.

On this night, there would only be one caution flag and the action would be fast paced on the fast surface. Doing a great job of adapting to a new track and fast surface, Carrick would close his first Adobe Cup out with a 13th place finish.

“I have to thank Clark, and everyone that worked on the car all night,” Carrick added. “Thanks to everyone that makes this possible.”

Tanner Carrick would like to thank CVC, Cemex, Interstate Oil, Conti, Harris and Sloan, Emerald, and Timberworks Construction for their support.

ON TAP: Carrick will now head back and rejoin to Keith Kunz Motorsports team as they are set for two nights of racing in Jacksonville, IL on Friday and Saturday.
