Tanner Carrick Comes From ‘B’ Main to Finish 8th in ‘A’ at Belle-Clair Speedway

Returning to action following a rare weekend off, Tanner Carrick and the Keith Kunz Motorsports team made the trip to Belle-Clair Speedway where the Lincoln, CA driver would overcome a heat race incident and charge through the ‘B’, and ultimately finish eighth in the feature event.

“We had a really good car in the heat race, and coming to the checkered I was trying pass for second and ended up spinning which gave all of our points up,” Tanner Carrick said. “We had a long road ahead of us, but my guys give me a great car and we still came away with a great finish.”

Lining up sixth in his heat race, Carrick had his elbows up aboard the CVC/TRD/Spike Chassis as he quickly worked his way up into third and looked for more.

Closing in on the second position in the final laps, Carrick looked for more points on the last lap and as he went to make his move on the last lap he would lose the handle and end up with a seventh place finish, and that would force him into the semi.

Lining up in the fourth row of the ‘B’, Carrick continued to show the same speed he had in his heat race as he would again move forward at will and pick up spots lap after lap. Forging his way ahead, Carrick would take a second place finish and transfer into the feature as he gridded the field from the 20th starting position.

From deep in the field, Carrick would continue to be on the attack as he carved his way forward methodically. Running a patient race, the Lincoln, CA product continued to approach the Top-10 as the laps clicked off quickly on this night.

Working into the Top-10, Carrick would cap off a great rebound with a hard fought eighth place finish.

“We did it the hard way, but it was fun coming forward like we did in the ‘B’ and the ‘A’,” Carrick added. “It was great to get back in the KKM car again.”

Tanner Carrick and the Keith Kunz Motorsports team would like to thank CVC, TRD, Spike Chassis, Cemex, Arai, and Shell Shock for their support.
