“I was up on the curb and got up over it and it cut our right rear while running,” Tanner Carrick said. “It was great to get back to Kokomo Speedway, I just wish we could have had a better finish.”
Timing the CVC/TRD/Spikes Chassis backed No. 71K in 10th fastest in qualifying time trials, the Lincoln, CA wheelman would race his way to a fourth place finish in his heat race and punch his ticket into the 30-lap feature event.

Continuing to pound the cushion, Carrick would work his way up as high as eighth during the action packed event, but would find himself back in the 10th spot with 10 to go in the race.
Getting up over the cushion, Carrick would cut his right rear tire down and take a trip to the work area. Restarting the race form the tail, Carrick would pick up a couple of positions and pocket a 17th place finish.
“I really just have to thank Keith and Pete and everyone involved with this team,” Carrick said. “They work extremely car on this entire fleet of cars and its special to be a part of it.”
Tanner Carrick and the Keith Kunz Motorsports team would like to thank CVC, TRD, Spike Chassis, Cemex, Arai, and Shell Shock for their support.
