Bad Luck Knocks Tanner Carrick Out of Pepsi Nationals

Traveling to Angell Park Speedway on Sunday night to battle with the Lucas Oil POWRi midgets in the 32nd Annual Pepsi Nationals, Tanner Carrick would race his way into the feature event before a lap four incident ended his night.

“We have had some bad luck as of late and it is pretty frustrating,” Tanner Carrick said. “I have to thank this team for all they continue to do.”

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Carrick would finish fourth aboard the Walker Performance Filtration/TRD/Curb Records machine.

Not quite having earned enough points to move into the Pepsi Nationals feature event, Carrick would line his potent Keith Kunz Motorsports machine up on the front row of one of the semi-mains.

Finishing in the third position, the Lincoln, CA driver would successfully race his way into the 30-lap Pepsi Nationals feature event.

From the back of the pack, Carrick’s feature would get cut short as he got a piece of a wreck on the fourth circuit causing enough damage to bring his night to an early end.

“We will put this night behind us, and look forward to Valley Speedway next weekend,” Carrick said. “Again thanks to Keith, Pete, and everyone that supports this team for their continued help.”

Tanner Carrick and the Keith Kunz Motorsports team would like to thank TRD, Curb Records, IPC, Cemex, CVC, and Shell Shock for their support.

ON TAP: Tanner Carrick and the KKM team travel to Grain Valley, MO for a pair of POWRi shows on Friday and Saturday night.
